Lily & Rosie Cafe sits tucked away in the quaint surroundings of Wood Gardens, Alderley Edge, offering a welcoming spot that feels part of the neighborhood’s casual rhythm. This isn’t just a place to grab a coffee; it’s where locals come to unwind with a well-made brew and a bite that leans toward comfort and familiarity, whether you're popping in solo or with a group.

The atmosphere here is relaxed and social, with friendly staff who seem to know many of their regulars by name. The space naturally lends itself to both quick stops and lingering cafe moments—people come for morning catch-ups over avocado toast or stay into the afternoon crafting wreaths or joining small gatherings, which reflects its role as a local hub beyond just food and drink.

Food-wise, the menu strikes a balance between light and more substantial, serving everything from classic scones and muffins alongside more filling options like paninis, breakfast plates, and seafood salad. Highlights such as their tiramisu and smoked salmon show a care for simple yet satisfying flavors. Also popular are the hot sandwiches—think Mediterranean or classic BLT—good choices when you’re looking for something straightforward but well-executed.

The cafe's ability to accommodate groups, including spontaneous visits from cycling clubs, speaks to its adaptability and unpretentious nature. It doesn’t feel like a formal venue, but rather a place that moves with the pace of its visitors, quickly making space for everyone without fuss. This ease of service combined with quality food and speedy coffee is a common thread among regulars.

Best times to visit might be mid-morning or early afternoon on weekends when you can soak in the lively yet unhurried local vibe. Families, friends, and solo visitors alike find it welcoming, especially those who appreciate friendly interaction alongside their meal or coffee.

In short, Lily & Rosie Cafe reflects Alderley Edge’s mix of village charm and everyday warmth—a practical, comfortable spot where good coffee and approachable food bring people back in, whatever the occasion.

What a lovely cafe. Friendly staff and great value food and drink. Me and my daughter made wreaths at the cafe and food was included. We had a fabulous day and would definitely visit again. Thank you

A group of us arrived on bikes unannounced and I thought we’d struggle to get us all in but there was no problem, the hostess dragged a couple of tables together so we could all be seated together and provided extra chairs. The service was great and the food delicious, I wish we lived closer so we could go more often

What a great cafe. There were ten of us with bikes and we were welcomed and sorted with no fuss. Order taken quickly. Food came out quickly. Great quality and really nice staff. The locals were mega friendly as well!

This cafe may be off the beaten track but trust me when I say make the effort to find it, because it’s a cracking venue. I was impressed from the minute I got out of the car. I’m disabled but there is a fantastic ramp up to the door. There is plenty of seating with benches and chairs. The menu is extensive and daughter and I plumped for a Big Club sandwich and a Big Breakfast washed down with a smoothie and a pot of English tea with a tea cup. Nice touch. The food was excellent. The portions large. The service was impeccable and friendly and there was a nice buzz about the place in the lead up to lunchtime. Make an effort to find this place. You will not be disappointed. Well done everyone. We shall be back sometime soon.

Genuinely the nicest chicken club sandwich i have ever eaten. So beautifully presented. A work of art. Service is great, an amazing selection of different dishes, all freshly prepared. We will most definitely come again! Also, the portion sizes are very generous.
